Day 2 | Santiago de Chile | Discovering the City
This half-day tour offers an entertaining encounter with the best attractions of Santiago, the most important cultural, cosmopolitan, artistic and craft center in the country. The tour begins by going through the main streets of the civic district. You will find yourself on the road to Cerro Santa Lucía (emblematic urban park located in the heart of the city), the seat of government called Palacio de la Moneda and the traditional Plaza de Armas. It is in this place where you can see the most diverse and multicultural face of Santiago. In addition, you will find buildings of high historical value, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Historical Museum and the Central Post Office. Then we go to Cerro San Cristóbal, here you can enjoy a panoramic view of Santiago de Chile. A truly unforgettable experience. Then we will return to the hotel.
Day 3 | Balmaceda | Puerto Guadal | Arrival in the Aysén Region

Upon arrival at Balmaceda Airport, guests will be warmly welcomed by a professional driver for a private transfer to Mallín Colorado Ecolodge. The journey takes approximately 4 hours, offering a comfortable and scenic ride through the heart of Patagonia. Travelers will first enjoy smooth asphalt roads from Balmaceda to Cerro Castillo, followed by well-maintained gravel roads that showcase the region’s rugged beauty. Along the way, guests can admire breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, and lush forests, providing the perfect opportunity to relax after the flight and anticipate the unique charm and tranquility of the Ecolodge, where nature and comfort come together for an unforgettable stay.
Note: For guests who prefer to minimize travel time, private helicopter transfers can also be arranged upon request, offering a faster and equally spectacular way to reach the lodge while enjoying Patagonia from above.

Day 4 | Puerto Guadal | Marble Caves

From Mallín Colorado Ecolodge, guests will travel along the scenic shores of Lake General Carrera towards the small town of Puerto Río Tranquilo. Upon arrival, they will board a motorboat to navigate the turquoise waters of the lake and visit the breathtaking Marble Chapels and Cathedrals, extraordinary rock formations naturally sculpted by wind and water over thousands of years.
The smooth marble walls, with shades of white, gray, and blue reflecting in the crystal-clear water, create a truly mesmerizing landscape. During the navigation, guests will have the opportunity to approach the caves and admire the intricate shapes and colors of the marble from up close.
After the experience, they will return to the lodge, enjoying panoramic views of the Patagonian scenery along the way.
Day 5 | Puerto Guadal | Baker & Nef River Confluence Excursion
Baker & Nef River Confluence Excursion
Guests departing from Mallín Colorado Ecolodge will journey into the pristine wilderness of Parque Nacional Patagonia to witness the spectacular confluence of the Baker and Nef Rivers. Surrounded by untouched Patagonian landscapes, this excursion offers a chance to observe the powerful waters merging, framed by dense native forests, rolling hills, and the Andes in the distance.
During the visit, guests can enjoy scenic viewpoints, take photographs, and experience the raw beauty and tranquility of this remote area. This excursion highlights the region’s natural diversity, from glacial rivers to endemic flora and fauna, offering a unique insight into the ecosystems of northern Patagonia.
After exploring the confluence, guests will return to Mallín Colorado Ecolodge, enjoying panoramic views of the park along the way.
Day 6 | Puerto Guadal - Horseback Ride or Hike at Mallín Colorado

Guests at Mallín Colorado Ecolodge can choose between a guided horseback ride or a guided hike, exploring the stunning Patagonian landscapes surrounding the lodge. Both options offer a unique way to immerse in the region’s natural beauty, from rolling hills and native forests to panoramic views of distant mountains and rivers.
During the experience, a knowledgeable guide accompanies guests, sharing insights about the local flora, fauna, and history of the area. The pace of the activity is suitable for all levels, whether guests are beginners or experienced riders and hikers.
After the ride or hike, guests return to the lodge, taking in the tranquility and vastness of northern Patagonia.
Day 7 | Puerto Guadal - Parque Nacional Patagonia

Guests will be collected at Mallín Colorado Ecolodge for a private transfer to Explora Parque Nacional Patagonia. The journey takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours along well-maintained roads that pass through some of Patagonia’s most stunning landscapes. Travelers will enjoy a comfortable ride featuring breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, and lush forests, allowing them to relax and fully appreciate the region’s natural beauty. This seamless transfer ensures guests arrive at Explora ready to immerse themselves in the lodge’s unique combination of comfort, adventure, and nature.

You are in the heart of Chile’s Chacabuco Valley. The lodge’s intimate atmosphere invites you to explore this vast territory and its natural wonders. The guides will welcome you and introduce you to the explorations that are best suited for your next day
Day 8 | Parque Nacional Patagonia | Exploring the Patagonian Steppe
Guests wake up to majestic views and prepare for a day of exploration. They will leave the lodge on foot to embark on the Los Pumas hike, passing through a vast steppe region bordering the Chacabuco River. This area, highly populated by pumas and guanacos, offers an opportunity to learn more about these species and the efforts to protect them. Silence, mountains, and remoteness accompany them throughout the exploration.
After a lunch break at the lodge, guests will depart by van and take their bikes to Los Ríos, reaching the outskirts of the town of Cochrane, which serves as the starting point. The bike ride begins in a sector of fields with crops and livestock, the main economic activities in the area. Guests approach from the north, flanking the Cochrane River to admire its clear waters and the trees introduced by the first settlers. As they continue, they encounter rolling hills, touring them at a leisurely pace to fully enjoy the views the landscape offers. The ride concludes at the bridge over the El Salto River, whose waters are runoff from the Calluqueo Glacier, after which guests return to the lodge for dinner and to prepare for the following day.
Day 9 | Parque Nacional Patagonia - Hike & Discovery
Patagonia’s Hidden Wonders: Hike & Discovery
Guests venture into the surprising landscapes of the Patagonian forest at El Encuentro. They leave the lodge on foot, hiking a trail to the area where the steppe and the forest meet. Along the ascent, they admire the captivating slopes of the Chacabuco Valley, dotted with hills and high-plateau lagoons. Broad views of the Chacabuco Valley basin and Lake Cochrane can be enjoyed from Cerro Tamanguito. After exploring these remote Patagonian wonders, guests are encouraged to visit the on-site museum, considered one of South America’s best museums on climate change—a highlight not to be missed.
Day 10 | Parque Nacional Patagonia - Coyhaique
Private Transfer from Explora Patagonia to Coyhaique
After an unforgettable stay at Explora Parque Nacional Patagonia, guests will be picked up by a professional driver for a private transfer to Coyhaique. The journey takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, traveling along well-maintained roads that reveal Patagonia’s dramatic landscapes, from rugged mountains to rivers and lush forests. Guests can travel comfortably while enjoying the scenery one last time, making the most of their final moments in this spectacular region. This transfer ensures a relaxed and stress-free arrival in Coyhaique, ready for the next stage of the journey.

Day 11 | Coyhaique - Santiago de Chile
