The boutique Hotel Tango de Mayo is located in the Monserrat neighborhood on the historic Avenue de Mayo. It is situated in the privileged heart of Buenos Aires on the same street as the Presidential office known as “Casa Rosada”. Adjacent to the Plaza de Mayo is the “Cabildo” where the first independent Argentinean Government was formed. A short walk will take you to the National Congress and the Barolo Palace. The Hotel Tango de Mayo is only a few blocks away from other local attractions: the Obelisk, the “Colon” Theatre, Corrientes Avenue, Florida Street and several museums. Access to the International Airport Ezeiza it is just a few minutes away.

The Italian Arq Fausto di Bacco designed the building in 1913. It was completely modern for that time and was characterized by the massive use of glass surfaces, symmetric columns and notable metallic Parisian pilasters. The original building was recovered and renovated as a Hotel and maintain its unique Art Nouveau singularity

At the milonga, you’ll be able to interact with the locals and even dance, or just watch them enjoy tango with passion. We’ll introduce you to the history and present of tango, and the Milonga’s codes and dynamics, so you won’t miss any details.
