Day 3 | San Pedro De Atacama
A sense of being somewhere else. Inspired by Pre-Inca ruins, we worked with a local
historian to recreate adobe structures so our guests feel transported into another world.
The round shape and natural building materials (adobe, stone and wood) keep the suites cool in the heat of the day, and warm in the chilly evenings.
After a day spent exploring the stark but stunning Atacama Desert, you need a bit of luxury. Awasi’s ten spacious cottages have private patios, outdoor showers, big armchairs and alpaca blankets. Built in fitting with the environment.
Measuring over 50 square meters, the suites are self-contained havens where you can
unwind, relax and rest.
Each suite has a patio, solarium, plus outdoor and indoor showers.
Hidden inside an ancient adobe wall, Awasi Atacama is a secret place reserved just for guests.
The Ritual of Food: Fresh local ingredients cooked to perfection.
THE AWASI RECIPE: Chef, Juan Pablo Mardones says that food goes hand-in-hand with the environment and his aim is to take a little bit of the desert and present it on our guests’ plates.
During your stay you can book a cooking lesson with the chef!

Awasi Patagonia has views over the Torres del Paine Mountain Range, the Patagonian Steppe and Lake Sarmiento. It is the world’s southernmost Relais & Chateaux hotel.
The perfect spot to enjoy Torres del Paine National Park while always returning to our secluded Private Reserve.
Inspired by old Patagonian shelters and ranching outposts, we have built only twelve villas (one of them with two suites) in our private reserve. These are positioned in such a way as
to ensure the utmost privacy and also offer the best views of the forest, Lake Sarmiento,
the pampas and Torres del Paine.
Guests have access to off-the-beaten-path hiking trails that lead to superb wildlife viewing spots.
Built on stilts for minimal environmental impact, each villa has a hot tub, wood burning stove,
living room and measures 80 square meters.
Wi-fi detox: Internet service in this remote part of Patagonia comes via a (somewhat lazy) satellite which means we can only access wifi in the Main Lodge. Think of it as an internet detox…
Special feature: Each villa has clear views of the “torres”, Lake Sarmiento or the Patagonian Steppe.
Overnight: Awasi Patagonia Hotel

Jungle trails encompassing endangered trees. Crystal clear pools, only reachable by boat. Archaeological Jesuit ruins. Local Guarani tribes who practice ancient artisan crafts and know more about the rainforest than anyone else…

Our Recommendations:
Bring light, breathable, quick-dry synthetic clothing, including water-repellent outer layers. Other items include: sunglasses, sunscreen, swimsuit, mosquito repellent, comfortable shoes for hiking, a backpack, water bottle (provided by Awasi upon arrival). Any medication you may require.
The climate changes very little throughout the year, making Iguazú a year-round destination. Expect hot and humid conditions in summer (October to April) and cooler temperatures from May to September, especially at night. Most days are sunny and dry, however rain fall is common year-round, so best pack plenty of layers–please note that showers are frequent and heavy, but of short duration.
January to March: Rainy Season: The most popular time to visit the Iguazú Falls as rain fall increases the water flow. Temperatures between 19°C and 34°C
April and May: Temperatures between 13°C and 27°C.
June to August: Temperatures between 11°C and 24°C
September to December: Temperatures between 13°C and 31°C

Day 15 | Return To Buenos Aires & Tango Dinner
Pick up at your hotel and transfer to the airport to take your flight back to Buenos Aires.
Upon arriving at the airport in Buenos Aires, transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon, enjoy a private tour of the most well-known spots in town! Plaza de Mayo: which is home to the national government palace & the Metropolitan Cathedral. This historical, political, and foundational epicenter of the city is a great starting point for the city tour.
San Telmo, which boasts a vibrant tango and arts scene. Its antique markets, candle street lighting, cobblestone roads, and old buildings with original facades and décor create a lovely bohemian atmosphere. Sundays buzz with activity as the main antique market comes alive around the Plaza Dorrego.
La Boca, a neighborhood famous for its brightly-painted houses and coventillos (communal housing tenements) as well as for being home to the legendary Boca Juniors football club where Diego Maradona made his name.
You will also visit the city’s youngest neighborhood, Puerto Madero, which is situated on the riverside along the Río de la Plata. This major gastronomic and business hub is situated in former commercial docks. Along the canals, these former industrial warehouses were converted into elegant bars, eateries, and offices during one of the most successful urban waterfront restoration projects in the world.
Palermo, the largest neighborhood in town, is home to huge parks as well as some of Buenos Aires’ trendiest bars, clubs, and fashion boutiques. This neighborhood—which has nearly 350 acres (142 hectares) of parks, lakes, and wooded areas—offers a peaceful retreat from the busyness further in the city.
The European style district, Recoleta, is home to an array of fashionable restaurants, cafés, boutiques, malls, and luxury hotels which you’ll find along tree-lined avenues. One of the main attractions, The Cemetary, is the final resting place for generations of well-known Argentineans including Evita Peron.
- Estimated duration of the tour: 4 hours.
